Last week I got into my shower to realize I was out of my Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser, a lifetime favorite of mine. I took a quick ride over to Nordstrom to see if there was anything new I could try. I was immediately brought over to Paula's choice. I had never even heard of the brand but I was excited to try something new. They just happened to have a rep in town which I loved because they are FULL of information (and samples).
I told her my skin concerns:
looking to fight aging
She immediately brought me to...
So naturally I was filled with knowledge and left with two cleansers (I use a different cleanser in the morning and at night).
The clear cleanser I'm using at night. It's a light gel that leaves me feeling a little tight (I'm dry so that's expected). This product removes all of my face makeup, has noticeably cleared my skin up and tightened my pores. I was struggling with a pretty bad breakout for a few weeks so it was easy to tell. I have been using it with my clarisonic and am beyond impressed. Generally, this would be recommended for someone with more oily acne prone skin, since I don't fall in that category I use it "as needed" but mostly at night.
I'm using the cream cleanser in the morning. It's feels so nice! It's thick and creamy but doesn't leave any residue on my face and it does remove makeup. I'd say this is for those with dry and sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend for anyone oily just because it is heavy. My face is always soft after using this. I am occasionally using this with my clarisonic.
All in all I'd recommend both of these products. I did receive a few other samples from Paula's Choice and will be sure to let you know what I thought of those!
A few things about Paula's Choice I love:
- no added fragrance
- no added dyes
- no animal testing
- 100% money back guarantee
- non-irritating ingredients
